Tom Holland Confirms A Popular Spider-Man Fan Theory

What if Spider-Man existed in the Marvel Universe long before Captain America: Civil War? What if Peter Parker actually made an on-screen appearance in Iron Man 2? Well, that Spider-Man fan theory seems to be true. Tom Holland has just confirmed it.

As the theory goes, Peter Parker showed up in Iron Man 2 as a 9-year-old wearing an Iron Man mask, six years before Captain America: Civil War. In a scene that foreshadows their unique relationship in Spider-Man: Homecoming, Peter attempts to help Iron Man in his fight against an Iron Bot. It’s quite remarkable and all takes place in Queens, Spider-Man’s hometown. The scene ends with Tony Stark thanking the young boy by saying, “Nice work, kid!”

Now Tom Holland can confirm that it’s all true:

I can confirm that as of today. I literally had a conversation with Kevin Feige only 20 minutes ago. Maybe I’ve just done a big, old spoiler, but it’s out there now. It’s cool. I like the idea that Peter Parker has been in the universe since the beginning.

Of course, Spider-Man will still under Sony’s control back then. But that didn’t seem to stop Marvel from dropping the hint all the way back then.

Spider-Man: Homecoming opens July 7.

That theory is dumber than the Martha scene

That theory doesn’t make sense on the fact that where was May? Peter’s parents? They just shoehorned this one in last minute

makes about as much sense as a black batgirl staring haile berie
