The First Footage Of Solo: A Star Wars Story Is Here

Fans have had to wait really long for the first footage from the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars spin-off film. Thankfully, a 45-second Super Bowl of Ron Howard’s Solo: A Star Wars Story, released ahead of the debut of the actual trailer which releases later today, is here to convince you of just how awesome it will be.

It’s hard to deny that there has been a lot of negativity surrounding the Solo: A Star Wars Story movie. First, there was the firing of directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord and, second, there are rumours that Disney was worried about how the film would do. There even some who believe that the lead actor, Alden Ehrenreich, can’t act.

Hans Solo Star Wars Story

The role of Han Solo, which has been famously portrayed by Harrison Ford, will be played by Alden Ehrenreich. Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Thandie Newton, Paul Bettany, and Joonas Suotamo will also star.

In the first teaser, we get to see Han Solo prepare to join the Empire as a pilot, a Star Destroyer, the Millennium Falcon, Donald Glover as Lando, and, of course, Chewbacca. Strangely, Ehrenreich doesn’t utter a single line.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theatres on May 25th.

UPDATE: The first trailer is here – and Ehrenreich talks.
