The Bride will fight again. Uma Thurman returns as Beatrix Kiddo next summer for Kill Bill Vol. 3 & 4, confirmed Tarantino earlier today. Just earlier this year in an interview with We Got This Covered, the writer/director disappointed fans with his comments regarding another sequel. “I don’t know if there’s ever going to be a Kill Bill Vol 3″, he said. “We’ll see. Probably not though.” Thankfully, the legendary director has had a change of heart.
Previously, Tarantino had hinted that the film could see the daughter of Vernita Green seeking revenge against the Bride, which would certainly be an interesting set up. Set 10 years after the original, Beatrix’s daughter will also be full grown by this time. Perhaps we’ll also see the young actress return as an adult? Possibly the most interesting news though is that Bill might in fact return as a possible zombie or clone, seeing as he died in vol. 2. It makes perfect sense that Tarantino would offer his own take on the zombie genre, by mixing in his own unique blend of action.
When questioned about the details of the project, producers simply replied, “Happy April Fool’s everyone.”
