Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

Tarantino Announces Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

Written by

Director Quentin Tarantino has been promising fans a release of Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair (vol. 1 and 2 together, plus a whole lot of deleted footage which should run for about 4 hours) for a number of years. It seems he is standing by his promise. During a recent interview at San Diego Comic-Con the Django Unchained director revealed The Weinstein Company’s upcoming plans for the full Kill Bill film. Here is what he had to say on the matter…

What’s going on with that is originally back when Kill Bill was going to be one movie, I wrote an even longer anime sequence. So you see in the movie [O-Ren] kill her boss but then there was that long hair guy… The big sequence was her fighting that guy. I.G. [The Japanese Anime Studio] who did Ghost in the Shell said we can’t do that and finish it in time for your thing. And [plus] you can’t have a thirty-minute piece in your movie. I said okay. It was my favorite part but it was the part you could drop. So we dropped it and then later when I.G. heard we were talking about doing Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair — they still had the script so without even being commissioned, they just did it and paid for it themselves. It’s really terrific. Anyway, The Weinstein Company and myself were talking about actually coming out with it sometime, not before the year is out, but within the next year with limited theatrical engagement as well.

Hopefully the release will fuel his passion for creating Kill Bill Vol. 3.

I am a David Carradine fan. I am martial artist so consequently a HUGE martial arts movie fan. I am NOT a Kill Bill Fan…. Uma Thurman’s character was/is a cold blooded assassin for hire( so really no reason to feel top much sympathy for her) and when I discovered that she killed the character played by Vivica Fox, in her home just before he children arrived, for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING…I was very annoyed….Equally, Thurman’s character really not remotely a match for Lucy Lu’s character yet she won( by sheer luck certainly not skill ),,,,Point being after seeing both movies I was so thoroughly disgusted that I am not about spend more time looking at the deleted and/or alternate footage…This ship has sailed as far as I am concerned.
