Krypton Brainiac

Syfy has revealed the first look at Krypton‘s main antagonist and Superman’s arch nemesis, Brainiac, the collector of worlds. Thankfully, it seems like the show’s creators have done the character justice in terms of the CGI and the look. Blake Ritson looks fantastic as the highly intelligent supervillain.

Those who have been following the many trailers and teasers for Krypton will know that the show promises to deliver a high quality, high budget show that won’t be connected to the current Arrowverse shows. Instead, it takes a lot of its cues from Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel. Produced by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Dark Knight Trilogy), fans will recognise the environments, the unique design of the logo and the technology used in the world.

“It’s something of a blank canvas that has allowed a lot of freedom for the writers to world-build,” comments Blake Ritson on Brainiac. “Yes, he traverses the universe in a gigantic skull ship, ripping cities out of planets, miniaturizing them and placing them on board. But he does so in the spirit of conservation.”
