According to the Daily News, Sylvester Stallone has joined the cast of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
The actor was recently spotted leaving his hotel in Atalanta (where shooting is currently underway) with a copy of the movie’s script in his hand. The 69-year-old actor, who was recently nominated for an Oscar for reprising his Rocky Balboa role in Ryan Coogler’s Creed, “then got into a car usually assigned to Chris Pratt.”
Could Stallone be playing Peter Quill’s (Pratt) father?
Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is written and directed by James Gunn. The film marks the return of the original Guardians, including Chris Pratt as Peter Quill/Star-Lord; Zoe Saldana as Gamora; Dave Bautista as Drax; Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot; Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket; Michael Rooker as Yondu; Karen Gillan as Nebula; and Sean Gunn as Kraglin. New cast members include Pom Klementieff, Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell.
