Stephen King’s horror story about a small town engulfed in a mysterious fog filled with monsters is getting a 10-episode TV series. Here is the second trailer, titled “Out There”, for The Mist.

Spike network has released another trailer for their upcoming horror/thriller TV series based on Stephen King’s The Mist (1980). Fans of the novella will know that The Mist is one of King’s darkest, most chilling stories. We’ve already had one great adaptation of the book, thanks to Frank Darabont’s awesome film of the same name, but now, 10-years later, we’re getting a TV series.

As the eerie fog rolls in, a family is torn apart by a brutal crime that suddenly cuts them off from the rest of the world, and in some cases, each other. Family, friends and adversaries become strange bedfellows, battling the mysterious mist and its threats, fighting to maintain morality and sanity as the rules of society break down.

The Mist stars Alyssa Sutherland (Vikings), Isaiah Washington, Jr. (The Wire), Morgan Spector (Boardwalk Empire), Okezie Morro (Red Tails), Darren Pettie (Mad Men), Dan Butler (Frasier), and Frances Conroy (American Horror Story).
