Written by

There is good news for fans of Rocket League. The Game will be the first title to allow cross-platform play between Xbox One and PC.

This means that instead of having your Xbox One or PC connecting to the Microsoft servers, they will now be connecting to Steam, making this the first small step to a truly open multiplayer experience across multiple platforms.

This marks the first ever time that a game has been cross-platform between the PC and Xbox One.

Microsoft has also indicated that they would be open to connecting the Xbox One with the PlayStation 4, although Sony has yet to accept the offer.

Rocket League initially launched on the PC and  PlayStation 4 in July 2015 and later released on Xbox One.
