With E3 2018 just around the corner, this week Walmart Canada has seemingly leaked the existence of a few expected and unexpected titles. Walmart Canada posted listings of Borderlands 3, Rage 2, Just Cause 4, Gears of War and Dragon Quest Builders 2. The now deleted listings strangely included Forza Horizon 5, even though the next entry in the series should be Forza Horizon 4.
This is not the first time that a retailer has mistakenly leaked information about upcoming games, with many proving accurate in the past. Although, as always, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt. Some of the leaked games have been on gamer’s radars for a while, that includes Borderlands 3 and a new Splinter Cell which has been teased a lot recently.
While no developers have reached out or reacted to the leaks, Bethesda, the publisher behind the first Rage game, posted some friendly advice for Walmart Canada on Twitter regarding the Rage 2 leak.

The friendly advice does not dispute the game’s existence but rather points out some general errors made by Walmart Canada on the placeholder art. Pete Hines, marketing boss for the publisher, also commented on the post, “This is why we can’t have nice things.” To be honest, many gamers were probably not expecting that a game like Rage would get a sequel. However, we are delighted at the prospect.
