Director Quentin Tarantino is already meeting with A-list talent for his follow-up film to The Hateful Eight, which will be about the Manson Family murders.
Sources have revealed that the 54-year-old Tarantino’s ninth feature will focus on the tragedy which occurred on Aug. 8, 1969, when cult leader Charles Manson ordered a group of his followers to attack a home in Los Angeles’ Benedict Canyon. The attack resulted in multiple deaths, including actress Sharon Tate, who was eight months pregnant at the time. Manson and other members of his ‘family’ were sentenced to life imprisonment in 1971.
There are rumours that Tarantino met with Margot Robbie to potentially play Sharon Tate, the actress wife of director Roman Polanski. According to Deadline, Samuel L. Jackson, Brad Pitt, and Jennifer Lawrence are also in talks with the writer-director about his upcoming film.
If all this is true, it’ll mark the director’s first-ever film based on a true story.
