Developers Koei Techmo has announced the release date for Nioh, the PlayStation 4 exclusive action game.

It was revealed at PlayStation’s pre-TGS (Tokyo Game Show) keynote that  Nioh would be releasing worldwide on the 9th of February 2017 for the PlayStation 4. The game was initially planned for a 2016 release, but due to developers Team Ninja implementing some of the feedback they received from fans who played the beta the game will only release in 2017.

The game sees players take on the role of protagonist Willaim Adams, who travels to Japan in order to become a samurai. The game takes a lot of influence from Japanese folklore as players will battle nightmarish creatures on their journey. Luckily Willaim Admas will not be alone during this as he will be accompanied by a diverse cast of characters who will aid him as he travels across Japan.
