Sony did not reveal a lot of details on the hardware of the PS4 Pro at their event yesterday, rather focusing on showing how the upgraded console will affect visuals.
However, after the conference, Sony finally confirmed the specifications for the PS4 Pro, the system uses a 8 core “Jaguar” CPU, an AMD Radeon GPU, which is capable of 4.2 teraflops, 8 GB of GDDR5 ram, and a 1 TB hard drive. These specifications are substantially lower than that of the newly announced Xbox One Scorpio, which means that Xbox will be taking the lead as the most powerful console.
Sony also revealed that although the console will be able to stream 4K video it will not be able to act as a 4K Blu-ray player which it’s Xbox counterpart will be capable of.
Below are the detailed specifications of the new PlayStation console.
