Jaguar South Africa has announced that its new SUV will be available locally starting in July 2016.
Despite the news, there is no official pricing for any of the four variants available. The UK model has gone on sale starting at £40,000 (roughly R850,00), although the first 25,000 units has already been sold out, with an expected 3-month waiting period going forward (and possibly extending past the 6-month wait). Production of the XE saloon has been shifted to another plant to make way for the expected rush.
The four variants include the base model F-Pace Pure, F-Pace R-Sport, F-Pace S and the beefed up F-Pace First Edition. The First Edition is available in two models, petrol and diesel, with the former sporting a 3.0 litre, V6, 280KW, supercharged engine, with stats that include 0-100km/h in 5.5 seconds, and a top speed of 250kmph. You can view more details on the four models and their specifications on Jaguar’s website.
