With E3 2017 just around the corner, it’s to be expected that rumours and leaks regarding upcoming games will start to flood the internet. The latest of these leaks seem to be a new Assassin’s Creed game.
The next entry in the Assassin’s Creed series will reportedly be titled Assassin’s Creed: Origins. And as the name suggests, it’s speculated that the game will be a prequel. It was also theorised that the game would be taking place in ancient Egypt, although this has not yet been confirmed.
Now, thanks to a leaked image, this theory might actually have some merit to it. The leaked image was published on Reddit and features what seems to be an Egyptian warrior complete with a bow and quiver steering a small boat down a river (could this be the Nile?).
Obviously, this is all just speculation, although seeing as there weren’t any Assassin’s Creed games released last year, it is widely expected that we might see another game in the franchise releasing in 2017.
