Netflix Asks If Breaking Bad Is The Walking Dead Prequel

A fan theory claims Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead are actually connected to one another, and it’s quite believable.

Detailed via a video on Netflix’s official YouTube channel, ‘The Breaking Dead Theory’ raises the idea Breaking Bad serves as a prequel to The Walking Dead – clinging onto a few key items which appear on both shows. The video goes on to theorize that Walter White started the zombie epidemic in “The Walking Dead” with the meth he created.

What if Breaking Bad was about more than Walter White starting as a bumbling chemistry teacher and turning himself into a full fledged monster? What if he turned everyone into full fledged monsters? What if Walter White’s Blue Sky meth started the zombie epidemic of another all time great show: The Walking Dead! Watch to find out more!

The Walking Dead returned in October to AMC starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Chandler Riggs, Michael Cudlitz, Sonequa Martin-Green, Christian Serratos, Ross Marquand, Josh McDermitt.

The Walking Dead continues next Sunday at 9pm on AMC.

What do you think? Is there any truth to the theory? Could Breaking Bad be The Walking Dead Prequel?
