Bethesda have announced that the new DOOM game will launch with six multiplayer modes.
The first of these modes is Soul Harvest, a mode similar to Kill Confirmed in Call of duty. The mode has players collecting souls of killed enemies in order to earn points. The first player killed in a Soul harvest match will drop a rune that will turn the player who collects it into a powerful demon.
Next up is the Freeze Tag team mode, where players, instead of dying, will be frozen in place and can only be unfrozen by allies standing nearby. The fun part is that players that are frozen will slide around the map while being shot at. They can also be shot into various hazards that will cause them to shatter and respawn. The object is to completely freeze the opposing team.
Warpath is similar to King of the Hill and involves a single point for players to capture, the point continually moves around the map on a set path.
The last three modes are Team Deathmatch, Domination and Clan Arena. In Clan Arena, there are no respawns, pick-ups, or health regeneration, and victory is earned by fully eliminating the opposing team.
DOOM will launch on PC, PS4 and Xbox One on the 13th of May.
