We’ll have to wait a little bit longer before returning to war-torn Mordor in Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. The game has, sadly, been delayed.
Developer Monolith has announced that Middle-Earth: Shadow of War has been delayed and will now only launch in October 2017. The delay has been attributed to the fact that team needs more development time in order to assure that they deliver the highest quality experience.
“As with Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Monolith is committed to delivering the highest quality experience. In order to do this, we have made the difficult decision to move our launch date to ensure that Middle-earth: Shadow of War will deliver on that promise.”
The follow-up to the critically acclaimed Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, Shadow of War will build on the foundations of the first game. The game is also set to expand on the Nemesis System offering an even deeper more personal experience.
This is one of my most anticipated games of 2017, and although I would like to get my hands on the game as soon as possible, I do understand that the team wants to make this the best Middle-Earth game that they can.
