Microsoft and Team Up to Bring ‘Minecraft’ to Hour of Code

Microsoft announced (please attached release) a never-before-seen Minecraft coding tutorial, made for Code.Org‘s ‘Hour of Code’, to empower millions of students and teachers around the world to create worlds beyond their greatest imaginations. This announcement is part of Microsoft’s ongoing commitment to education and the unwavering belief people can do remarkable things when technology is within reach and is timed to coincide with Computer Science Education Week which is 7 to 13 December 2015.

Microsoft’s partnership with aims to bring us closer to the shared vision of increasing access to computer science education for all. To date, more than 100 million students across 180 countries and 40 languages have participated in the Hour of Code.
