With Captain America: Civil War successfully introducing Black Panther, excitement has started to build for the Black Panter movie.
So far we have learned that Lupita Nyong’o (The Force Awakens) might be joining the cast of the Black Panther movie as a possible love interest or even a member of the female only bodyguards that protect King T’Challa, the Dora Milaje. It seems that the movie might have found it’s villain, though, as THR reports that Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Fantastic Four) will be joining the cast. It has not been confirmed yet, but if the rumors prove true he might be cast in the role of the villain of the movie. Michael .B Jordan is no stranger to comic book movies as he starred in the Fantastic Four reboot as The Human Torch, Johnny Storm. The movie bombed critically and at the box-office.
This is the third time that Michael B. Jordan will be collaborating with director Ryan Coogler (Fruitvale Station, Creed).
Although information regarding the movie is still scarce I personally could see Michael .B Jordon in the role of N’Jadaka/Erik Killmonger a Wakanda native who in the comics is seen as T’Challa’s (Black Panther) arch-nemesis.
The Black Panther movie will release in 2018 and stars Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa/ Black Panther.
