The LEGO Batman Movie Director Is Bringing Nightwing To The DCEU

The Hollywood Reporter announced that Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie director) is in talks with Warner Bros. to bring Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing, to the DCEU.

Nightwing is reportedly getting his own movie. The film will be Chris McKay’s live-action feature film debut and will follow the former Batman sidekick after he retires as Robin. In the comics, Grayson serves as Robin for 40 years before retiring from the role and taking on the Nightwing persona.

Naturally, the announcement has sparked a frenzy amongst fans, who have already picked their favourites to play the role. Some of the names floating around are Steve McQueen Jr, Richard Madden, Scott Eastwood, Milo Ventimiglia, and Kit Harington.

DC Extended Universe is expanding very fast. With reports that Mel Gibson is considering Suicide Squad 2, Matt Reeves directing The Batman, David Ayer doing Gotham City Sirens, Snyder focusing on Justice League, Aquaman starring Jason Momoa, a Shazam film in the works, and Wonder Woman releasing soon, things might be looking up.
