Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle Trailer Is Here And It's... Not What We Expected

Considering that most people hold the original Jumanji in such high regard, it was always going to be difficult to do a sequel, especially one without Robin Williams. That didn’t stop Sony. Here is the trailer for Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle.

Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, Nick Jonas and Bobby Cannavale head up the sequel (it’s not a reboot) to 1995’s CGI phenomenon Jumanji. In a world full of reboots that nobody asked for, this is probably high on everyone’s list. That said, the trailer isn’t all bad. Have a look.

In the brand new adventure Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, the tables are turned as four teenagers in detention are sucked into the world of Jumanji. When they discover an old video game console with a game they’ve never heard of, they are immediately thrust into the game’s jungle setting, into the bodies of their avatars, played by Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan. What they discover is that you don’t just play Jumanji –Jumanji plays you. They’ll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, or they’ll be stuck in the game forever…

It’s still early days, but I was hoping for a little bit more. Let’s hope the final product is a lot more polished.

Jumanji 2 is hitting theaters on December 20.
