When Jeffrey Dean Morgan first appeared as Thomas Wayne in Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, many fans rallied behind him in support of him playing Flashpoint’s Batman. With the announcement of Flashpoint as the inspiration for the Flash solo film, it seems like this might become a reality.
Back in June last year, Jeffrey Dean Morgan expressed his interest in playing Flashpoint’s Batman in a live-action film. While many thought that day would never come, the news of a Flashpoint storyline in the DCEU has changed everything.
In 2016, the actor answered fans questions regarding his interest in the character:
“Man, I would love to play that Batman… It would be very cool,” Jeffrey Dean Morgan responded and added a while back he was asked if he would be interested in doing a Batman story with Ben Affleck. “Are you f****n insane? Of course, I’d be interested.” He continued with, “Man, I would love it. I would definitely love it.”
Over the weekend, The Walking Dead actor took to Twitter to tease fans and give them another reason to smile:

For those who aren’t completely aware of the Flashpoint Paradox storyline, it sees Thomas Wayne take up the mantle of Batman when Bruce Wayne dies. But unlike his son, Batman Sr. is more ruthless in his actions as he is happy to kill any criminal that gets in his way. Thomas tracked down Chill and was going to poison him but decided to beat him to death with his bare hands. Meanwhile, Bruce’s mother becomes The Joker.
