Jeepers Creepers 3 has started filming

According to Shock ‘Til You Drop one day of filming for the long overdue third chapter in the Jeepers Creepers series has apparently been completed. Just as its central monster has laid low for twenty-two years, the series have been dormant for a full decade. After renewed interest from fans, active movement on Jeepers Creepers 3, the next sequel in the moderately successful horror series, from director Victor Salva, has started to move ahead quickly. Salva offered some juicy information off the record saying, “There may finally be some very good news for those waiting for the third Jeepers film to go before the cameras.”

Speaking exclusively to SciFiNow way back in 2009, star Ray Wise teased Jeepers Creepers 3, saying, “I can tell you that basically it’s going to pick up right from where we left off in 2 – waiting for the Creeper to jump off the barn wall. Then it’s going to go from there and there’s going to be some interesting new characters added to the mix, who have a direct relationship to my character, the old farmer.”

Just an opinion….First JC was ok…Not Great. Not Terrible but watchable. The Second JC was RANK! Beyond Awful…I recall being angry at how insipid the plot was and that I wasted my time. I decided sometime later to watch again and my first impression was absolutely reinforced. The only way I’ll even consider watching a 3rd chapter is if it’s Free(TV movie) or part a cheap DVD compilation( 10 movies for $4.99 in the USA). If I discover it is as bad or worst than the sequel; I’ll never bother to watch another instalment.

The first one was okay. But the second one was a classic in my books. Weird I know. But I thought it was so tongue-in-cheek that I dug it. My friends and I would watch it during school holidays and laugh at how ridiculous and funny the creeper was. He is like Freddy Kreuger in a way.
