Apple has officially announced the availability of the Special Edition iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus now available in (Product) Red. The unit goes on sale via the iStore this weekend.
Having originally launched in five colours featuring silver, gold, rose gold, black and “jet black”, Apple now extends the range to include the new colourway, which was announced last month, and already on sale in the US and some parts of Europe. The new (Product) Red with its vibrant, red aluminium finish, goes on sale this weekend in South Africa via the iStore.
The colourway marks the 10th anniversary of Apple’s partnership with (Red), an AIDS organisation, founded by U2 frontman Bono and activist Bobby Shriver, with the simple objective to “make it easy for people and businesses to join the fight against the deadly virus.”
The purchase of each (Product) Red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus product allows customers to contribute to the Global Fund and fighting towards an AIDS-free generation.
