As both a comic book fan and a gamer, Injustice: Gods Among Us, the fighting game from Mortal Kombat developers Neither Realms, was able to scratch both these itches.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is a fighting game in the same vein as Mortal Kombat, but set in the DC comic book universe. Not only was it a really solid fighting game, it was also able to stay true to its source material. Now rumors indicate that the sequel might be in the works.
Citing an anonymous source familiar with the project, French Gaming website Gameblog.fr reports that the sequel is currently in development and that Nether Realms is aiming for a March 2017 release on Xbox One, PC and PS4.
The source also indicated that an announcement will be made soon. Rumours and leaks like these tend to come out in the weeks leading up to E3. All indications are that Nether Realms might make this announcement a the event.
Luckily E3 is only a few days away which means we wouldn’t need to wait long to see if it is announced at the event.
