It’s hard to believe that it has been 25 years since Robin Williams starred as the grown-up version of Peter Pan in the movie Hook ( Now I feel really old).
To mark this special occasion the original cast of Lost boys from Hook donned their old costumes and took part in a special photo shoot collaboration with Entertainment Tonight and the production company 22 Vision reproducing some of the movie’s most memorable scenes. The cast also had some time to sit down and discuss their fondest memories of shooting the film and even pay tribute to their late co-star Robin Williams. Dante Basco (Rufio), James Madio (Don’t Ask) and Thomas Tulak (Too Small) recounted how Williams kept spirits high on set and how his death affected them,
“I think for all of us [Robin’s death] was the death of our childhood. There’s sadness there, also there’s a lot of space to kinda celebrate one of the most legendary artists of our time.”
“[Robin] really taught me at a young age what it means to be a star, what it means to be a leader on a set. Everything you want Robin Williams to be he delivered in spades.”
“He kept the set very alive. He made sure that he had a relationship with each and every one of us.”
“It was like his mission to make sure everyone around him is happy and laughing all the time.”
I still vividly remember walking out of the cinema as a young kid chanting Rufio, Rufio, Ru, Fi, Oooo! There is no doubt that Hook was part of a lot of children’s childhoods and that Robin Williams, along with the rest of the cast, left a lasting impression on so many young kids (now adults). It’s great to see them reunite after all these years and honor a legend such as Williams in the process.
