Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn becomes the focus of her own Suicide Squad trailer. “I’m bored. Play with me.”
All work and no play makes Harley Quinn a dull girl. In the latest trailer, Joker’s favorite gal finds herself some mischief. The trailer leads us to believe that we will get to see her origin story unfold in the film. It sure seems as though Suicide Squad is setting up the villainess to be a superstar in the DC Extended Universe. Hopefully, the Clown Princess will get her own standalone film too.
“I equate her creation to the creation of Bugs Bunny,” creator Paul Dini says. “He was sort of a nondescript rabbit at first, and then the more the other directors and animators had fun with him, the more he became the character he is now.”
“Twenty years ago, I remember talking to some of the people involved in the movies. They had no idea who she was,” he says. “Now she’s the star of her own picture, just about.”
The video opens with some new footage of Harley kicking some major ass! Margot Robbie is perfect in the role.
