Guillermo Del Toro wants to do Hellboy 3

Believe it or not, it’s been a decade since Hellboy II: The Golden Army. Now the series that many will argue paved the way for future comic book films might return. Guillermo Del Toro wants to do Hellboy 3.

There are many fans that have secretly (or openly) hoped for a sequel to 2008’s Hellboy II: The Golden Army. The franchise storyline halted mid-story and never felt complete. The first two Hellboy films were undoubtedly ahead of its time. Perhaps 2017 will be the year that 66-year-old Ron Perlman returns to the red-skinned devil and gives us an ending to the classic comic book films. Thank goodness, Guillermo Del Toro is interested in exploring the possibilities of a third film but, as his tweets suggest, he needs our help to do it.

In six hours, nearly 28,000 votes were cast. By the time you’re reading this, let’s hope there’s well past 100,000 votes. Get to Twitter and vote now. The world needs Hellboy 3.

Update: The internet has responded and it looks like the poll has been finalized with 132,938 votes. Let’s hope this means we’re getting another Hellboy film.
