Online e-commerce site Takealot now has a limited number of Google Glasses in stock for South Africans who want to get their hands on the wearable computer. Among the first to sell the gadget in South Africa, it is selling for a whopping R26,999.

A touchpad is located on the side of Google Glass, allowing users to control the device by swiping through a timeline-like interface displayed on the screen. Sliding backward shows current events, such as weather, & sliding forward shows past events like phone calls, photos etc.

You can use the Glass camera to capture images and video and to also display the camera’s preview stream for a variety of different use cases. Google Glass has the ability to take photos and record 720p HD video.
