Microsoft isn’t necessarily known for giving away free software, but every now and again the company dangles a carrot that is hard not to notice. This time around, the Xbox team is inviting all Xbox Live members without a Gold membership to play online with friends this weekend. So how exactly does it plan to this? By running a campaign between 27 and 30 October providing free online gaming on their Multiplayer All-Access weekend for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 uers. In addition to this, the company is also giving away a free digital copy of Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for all Xbox One owners.

Both the subscription and game will be available for free between 27 and 30 October, after which they will no longer be available unless purchased.
