While the official game may have been removed from respective smartphone markets, Flappy Bird still lives on by means of some third-party installations, direct apk/ipa installs, or the thousands of copies and clones that swooped in on the game’s success a few days later. Now there’s a real-world version named Flappy Bird in a Box. The boxed game was created by Fawn Qiu, which is powered by Arduino, has the same simple premise, only this time scrolling through paper pies by means of a buttons (one to start, one to ‘flap’). Upon failing to navigate successfully, the lid closes to a tune of disappointment.
