Get ready to grab your sword and shield and head back to Skyrim for some fighting and fireball slinging, Skyrim: Special Edition is on its way.
Rumours of a remastered version of the game have been circulating for the last few weeks and it is great to finally see it announced.
Bethesda has revealed that the remastered version of the game called Skyrim: Special Edition will be heading to a PC and console near you. Not only will this be the prettiest edition of the game with remastered art, effects, volumetric god rays, dynamic depth of field, reflections, and new shaders, it will at long last add mod support for consoles which is great news as they have been left in the cold for long enough.
Skyrim: Special Edition will be available free to PC players who already own the game along with the complete Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn DLC expansions on Steam
The game will be launching on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in October 2016.
