As the cable network TV landscape has continued to expand, the doors to all kinds of new content have opened up. Another film-to-television project is happening. And it’s based on Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino‘s From Dusk Till Dawn.
In May, Robert Rodriguez established an English-language cable network called El Rey which is partnering with Univision for the series. El Rey makes its debut later this year via Comcast. Rodriguez, who is obviously heavily involved in getting the network off the ground, will be writing, producing and directing the From Dusk Till Dawn series himself.
The 1996 From Dusk Till Dawn followed two criminals – played by Tarantino and George Clooney – and their hostages who unknowingly seek temporary refuge in an establishment populated by vampires, with chaotic results.
