A new trailer for the upcoming Death Note: Light Up The New World live-action movie has been released. The Japanese-language film is Nikkatsu’s fourth film in its Death Note series, which is based on the manga by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata.
The English sub-titled trailer was able to give a preview on what to expect from the upcoming film.
Ten years after the after the confrontation between Kira and L, society is afflicted with cyber-terrorism. The Death Note is a supernatural notebook that grants its user the power to kill simply by writing a person’s name on its pages. Six different Death Notes fall to the human world, the maximum number of notes that can exist at once. In the midst of this, two new individuals inherit the DNA of Light Yagami and L and must play a deadly game of cat-and-mouse once again.In Cinemas in Australia and New Zealand November 10.
Death Note: Light Up The New World will be released October 29 in Japan, with an Australia & New Zealand release scheduled for November 10. No North American release has been scheduled as of yet. Warner Bros.’s North American adaptation of the Death Note manga is currently filming for a 2017 release.
