The Pixar cars are returning to the big screen once again in Cars 3. This time though, Disney and Avalanche Software, the developer behind the Disney Infinity series, will be releasing a new game set in the film’s universe called Cars 3: Driven To Win.
The game picks up after the events of Cars 3 and features more than 20 characters from the movies (each can be customised) and 20 unique and thrilling tracks to race on. Head of Avalanche Software, John Blackburn said that the studio wanted players to experience the same thrills they would get from watching the movies. “We wanted to create a game that allows fans to extend their experience with this great film, and also feel the thrill of speeding through the tracks, participating in races, and mastering tricks and techniques for fun with the whole family”
There will also be six different modes available, split-screen local co-op (Yeah!), and hidden characters to unlock. Cars 3: Driven To Win will be heading to PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch and Wii U in June, the same month that the Cars 3 movie will be releasing.
