In issue #9 the X-Men were at the mercy of Colossus, Apocalypse’s newest Horseman. Picking up where we left off, Extraordinary X-Men #10 starts with Storm and her X-Men arriving in Omega World 3167 A.D on a rescue mission to save Colossus and the rest of the X-Men team. Trapped a thousand years in the future, The Apocalypse Wars continue here and the X-Men are literally mutantkind’s last hope!
With the hope of being able to finally retrieve the ark and get back home, the X-Men have been faced with their toughest enemies and the possibility of mutant-kind becoming extinct seems more and more of a reality. The fearless Storm has almost lost the will to fight. It’s one battle after the other, but her X-Men (Jean Grey, Magik, Ice Man, Logan, and Nightcrawler) will not let her down. They are family and they fight together.
As their journey continues they finally reach the realm of Apocalypse and are faced with a not so normal, monstrous Colossus. Wolverine (Old Man Logan), with a valiant attempt to save the X-Men, has taken on the unexpected. But has the attempt failed? Has Wolverine (Old Man Logan) been devoured by the colossal beast? It’s up to the rest of the team to save him.
Extraordinary X-Men #10 is just what was readers have come to expect from an X-Men comic book; super powers, gigantic monsters and time travel. All that makes a great read. It is visually stimulating in every way and makes the reader quite curious about what will and could happen next in the series.
Extraordinary X-Men #10 is definitely the strongest of the recent X-Men titles. It is filled with action!
