Actor-writer-director Tyler Perry proves once and for all that he isn’t interested in making decent films anymore. The director has now plummeted into creating spoof films using his favourite dress-up aunt. Even still, Boo 2! A Madea Halloween might be the scariest film (for all the wrong reasons) you don’t see this year.
This new Madea movie arrives almost exactly one year after its predecessor, which ended up making $74.8 million worldwide from a $20 million budget. Clearly, that was enough to convince the powers that be that they should make another one.
Personally, I’m not sure why anyone would put themselves through this again. The first film was a monstrosity. I can’t think up enough adjectives to express how awful these films are. Perry needs to stop.
Madea and the gang are back for this hilarious sequel. Madea, Bam and Hattie venture to a haunted campground and the group must literally run for their lives when monsters, goblins and the bogeyman are unleashed.
