Baywatch: Efron's Fall-Header

If you haven’t already heard, the latest Hollywood remake is coming to the beaches of California. Yes, you guessed, Baywatch is back in 2017.

The film will star Alexandra Daddario, Zac Efron, Dwayne Johnson, Priyanka Chopra, and Kelly Rohrbach, amongst many others. Interestingly, the show will also star David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, who had starred in the original, although their characters (Mitch Buchannon and C.J. Parker) have been replaced in the reboot.

Baywatch: Efron's Fall

Baywatch is an upcoming American action comedy film directed by Seth Gordon, based on the 1989 series of the same name. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Kelly Rohrbach, Ilfenesh Hadera, Jon Bass, Priyanka Chopra, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Belinda Peregrín, David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson. Principal photography began on February 22, 2016 in Miami, Florida and Savannah, Georgia. The film will be released by Paramount Pictures on May 19, 2017. It is the second film to feature Johnson and Daddario, the first being San Andreas.

That’s not the discussion here, though. As most of us would have seen at some point or another, the Baywatch intro included the iconic slow-motion, beach run of all the main characters. And this is where is becomes hilarious. During the shoot of the title scene, Zac Efron took somewhat of a rather large tumble. And while the fall may not have caused any issues, the Internet responded as only the Internet would. Queue the memes.
