Randy Pitchford, president of Gearbox Software has announced that Battle born, the first person MOBA has gone gold.
Along with this announcement, more information regarding the game’s season pass has been revealed. Battleborn will launch with 25 characters, with five new characters becoming available for free on all platforms after launch. The first of the free characters will be Alani who is “a member of the Eldrid faction who was raised as a healer, but forced to be a warrior, and is all that remains of her order after Rendain’s Jennerit Imperium stole the oceans from her world.”
Some of the other free updates will include new modes, maps community features and, of course, balance updates.
As for the paid content, this will take on the form of five add-on packs each costing $5. These will include one new PvE story operation as well as new skins and taunts. The season pass will cost $20 for those who want to have all of the add-on packs.
Battleborn is due to launch in May 2016 on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
