When you consider that Batman v Superman released back in March already and the amount of concept art we’ve already seen, it’s really impressive that there is still more surfacing all these months later. It speaks volumes about how much work actually went into preparing for this film.
Artist Robert McKinnon, who worked on Batman v Superman, has now released unseen artwork from his collection of work. Amongst his work, we see an early Superman statue design with the words “Nazi God” spray painted across. In addition, we also get to see alternate designs for Aquaman’s trident, Wonder Woman’s sword, as well as art for the Batwing, Bat Signal, Superman’s casket and Gotham City.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” is directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Ray Fisher as Cyborg with Callan Mulvey, Holly Hunter as Senator Finch and Tao Okamoto as Mercy Graves.
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
