It seems that eager Batman fans will need to hold out a bit longer before being able to return to the Arkham universe, as a post on the Warner Bros. forums has indicated that the Return to Arkham game has been delayed.

The remastered collection of the Arkham series of games was originally set to be released next month, but as the post states, there is currently no new date set for its release. The post indicates that the team needs some more time to work on polishing the final remaster.

“We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans.”

It was also stated that the new release date would be revealed as soon as they were ready to reveal it. Seeing as this remaster isn’t just one game but both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City it makes sense that the team would need to spend as much time as possible on making it look and play good. We’re all for delays as long as it means that the game won’t have a slew of patches on release day.
