Believe it or not, The Host’s Saoirse Ronan passed on the role of Wanda Maximoff, Scarlet Witch, in Joss Whedon’s Avergers: Age of Ultron. The word is that Whedon and Marvel have moved onto their second choice, Godzilla star Elizabeth Olsen. Of course, like all casting rumours these days… they are just that… rumours. Take it all with a pinch of salt.
Olsen is becoming a rising star in Hollywood, with roles in such upcoming films as Oldboy and the Godzilla reboot. Production for The Avengers: Age of Ultron starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johannson, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L. Jackson, begins early in 2014.
