While the Assassin’s Creed: Origins announcement didn’t come as a surprise to many, Ubisoft did manage to catch us off guard with the announcement of Assassin’s Creed: Rebellion.
Assassin’s Creed: Rebellion is a free-to-play strategy RPG for iOS and Andriod. Although the trailer only focuses on the game’s new and, frankly, very cute art style, we do get a glimpse of gameplay towards the end. The game seems to be quite similar to Bethesdas’ Fallout Shelter Mobile game. This will come as no surprise as Behaviour Interactive, the team that helped co-develop Fallout Shelter alongside Bethesda, is developing the game.
Players will be able to build their own unique headquarters room-by-room. Each room will open up new options to the player such as training new assassins and crafting equipment. Some well-known assassin’s from the series will also be making appearances along with some new ones created specifically for the game. In order to expand your headquarters, players will need to send these assassins out on missions in order to collect resources which in turn is then used to upgrade and expand their base of operations.
