Assassin’s Creed 3: AnvilNext Game Engine Update

Written by

America celebrated its Independence Day yesterday, and as part of the festivities, Ubisoft released a new trailer for the upcoming release, Assassin’s Creed 3. Since the game is based on the American Revolution and the events that lead to the celebration of 4th July, it seems only fitting. With a slight twist, this new trailer uses live actors, with people of different ages and different backgrounds promoting the “Rise” message. But the trailer just wouldn’t be the same without an appearance from the game’s hero.

AnvilNext Trailer:

In this latest trailer released by Ubisoft, we see more evidence of the AnvilNext gaming engine and the environments that spawn from it. The surroundings will play an important role in Assassin’s Creed 3, which will see Connor, the game’s lead character, battle through the elements of all 4 seasons. Ubisoft has also gone on record in promising gamers the “most detailed third-person action character ever created”, with a development of over 1,000 new character animations specifically for Connor.
