Just about everyone has put their hat in the ring for the upcoming Green Lantern role in the DCEU. We’ve seen the likes of Ice Cube, Idris Elba, Common, Leonard Roberts, Lance Ross, Michael Jai White, Michael Ealy and Tyrese Gibson mentioned. Recently, however, there have been rumours that Jamie Dornan is up to play Green Lantern, but it looks like Armie Hammer might have gotten the part instead.
Armie Hammer took to Twitter to announce… well, this:
Could his special announcement be that he is, in fact, the new Lantern? More clues have started to unravel since. Geoff Johns and Joe Manganiello both followed Armie Hammer on Twitter – which is how fans figured out that Joe Manganiello got the role as Deathstroke.
Of course, this isn’t Hammer’s first rodeo with DC. Armie Hammer was actually all set to play Batman back in the 2008 defunct George Miller Justice League Mortal film.
Truth be told, he could just be trolling. We’ll just have to wait and see.
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
Justice League has a November 17, 2017 release directed by Zack Snyder starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon and Willem Dafoe an Atlantean, Nuidis Vulko.
