Teaser For South African Paranormal Fantasy Apocalypse Now Now Looks Great

XYZ Films, Be Phat Motel Film Company and Stage 5 Films have released the first teaser for the Apocalypse Now Now short film based on the popular urban fantasy novel by Charlie Human.

Starring Garion Dowds as Baxter Zevcenko, Louw Venter as Jackie Ronin, Faniswa Yisa as The Vigilante and directed by Michael Matthews, Apocalypse Now Now is based on a popular novel, described as Neil Gaiman meets Tarantino, set in the supernatural underworld of Cape Town.

The full proof of concept of Apocalypse Now Now, not to be mistaken with Francis Ford Coppola’s Apocalypse Now, unleashes 29 August 2017 on Short of the Week and Facebook.

Apocalypse Now Now Teaser Trailer

Snarky, monster-porn-dealing teen, Baxter Zevcenko, might be a serial killer. His girlfriend, Esme, is missing, and he’s the prime suspect. To clear his name, he’ll turn to Cape Town’s grizzliest, drunkest bounty hunter, Jackson ‘Jackie’ Ronin. Little does he know that Ronin is a supernatural bounty-hunter, and that he’s about to be dragged headlong into a deep, dark Cape Town underbelly full of monsters and myth, shadowy government forces, bloodthirsty crow-men and a conspiracy across time and space.

Now now Love it! Cool premise as well.

It’s also amazing how “now” means somewhat sooner than “now now”; if someone’s coming now now, they’re actually coming later.
