All Eyez On Me

Yesterday was the anniversary of the death of rapper Tupac. In honour of the occasion, the studio has released a second red-band trailer for the upcoming biopic All Eyez On Me.

All Eyez On Me Teaser

The new clip shows us Tupac’s darker side as he is getting roughed up by cops, firing shots, and having an intense conversation with his mother Afeni (The Walking Dead’s Danai Guira), who warns him, “Like all black leaders, you have a bullseye on your back.” He spits back, “I ain’t no black leader.”

The Game was treated to a private advanced screening of the film over the weekend and offered a review: “Tupac movie is the real deal,” he said. “… make that Biggie movie look like a cartoon.”

All Eyez on Me is directed by Benny Boom. The film’s title is taken from Shakur’s fourth studio album, which was released in early 1996.

I’m little baffled about why actor Marcc Rose wasn’t chosen to play the late rapper though. What do you think? Does Demetrius Shipp, Jr. do the legend justice?
