adidas Originals Releases the Fall/Winter White Mountaineering Collection

In March this year, adidas Originals launched their second collection from their White Mountaineering collection in South Africa. The pair have collaborated again, this time to release their Fall/Winter collection for 2017.

adidas Originals and Japanese menswear label White Mountaineering reconvene the partnership for FW17, bringing Yosuke Aizawa’s inimitable aesthetic to a comprehensive range of adidas Originals sneakers and apparel. True to the philosophy of creating an elevated technical product with an unparalleled sartorial touch, White Mountaineering’s latest collection incorporates a range of cold weather design in a stripped-back seasonal colour palette, which is further complemented by footwear of different silhouettes, including the NMD_R2 and NMD Trail.

In this latest collaboration, Yosuke Aizawa’s signature aesthetic makes a welcome comeback throughout a number of silhouettes, including cargo pants and jersey pieces, with premium outerwear offerings include a Hooded Windbreaker reinterpreted with a technical design language. Each design is easily distinguishable by signature panelled constructions and atypical 3-stripes placements in black, white and olive. Alongside the footwear collection, the collaboration continues with its military themes with both classic and contemporary 3-stripes silhouettes. Returning, the NMD Trail steps out in a duo of colorways with reflective print details and a sawtooth outsole for a better grip. Likewise, the NMD_R2 also returns with essential panelled construction and signature 3-stripes details.

The FW17 collaboration of the adidas Originals X White Mountaineering encapsulates the commitment of both labels to create striking street-ready designs with an uncompromised performance edge. The range of footwear and apparel is available from this week from adidas’ online store, Area3 in Braamfontein, and Astore in Cape Town.
