Two New Sonic Games Announced By SEGA

SEGA has announced two new Sonic games, one that will get you all nostalgic and a brand spanking new one.

Sonic Sega
The new Sonic project that SEGA announced is currently titled Project Sonic (how creative of them) and is in development fo NX, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. From what we can tell from the trailer it seems the game might have a co-op mode and some giant robots, but that’s about all we can gather. The game is set for release in 2017.

The second game that was announced is called Sonic Mania, and will have most long time Sonic fans giddy with excitement as it returns to Sonic’s 2D roots. The game re-imagines some of the zone’s and levels from the previous Sonic games and adds some new ones. Sonic will now also have a new drop-dash ability. Players will  be able to play as Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Sonic Mania is also set to release in 2017.

It seems that 2017 might be the year that Sonic finally comes back swinging. Here’s hoping that both these games turn out good as we can’t bear another bad Sonic game.

Below are the announcement trailers for Project Sonic and Sonic Mania.
