Batman: The Telltale Series has a lot of people excited about donning the Dark Knight’s cape and saving Gotham once more, but it seems other players may be able to join you on your mission.
Telltale has revealed that Batman: The Telltale Series would have an online multiplayer option of sorts, where fellow players will be able to affect the choices the main player makes in the game. It’s called Crowd Play and once enabled will allow other players to vote on decisions that the main player needs to make as they pop up. This works by allowing other players to log on using an automatically generated URL and a smartphone or other internet browsing devices (even without owning the game). The main player will see the result of the tallied up votes live, and the most popular decision will either be highlighted or automatically chosen. This seems like an ideal feature for Twitch players to use especially considering the fact that Telltale also announced that all of their future games will implement this system.
The first episode of Batman: The Telltale Series will be releasing on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, MAC, iOS and Android in August 2016.
